Rage Against The Machine announces tour near the border and Coachella

2019 has been a historic year of protest.
Countries such as Hong Kong, Chile, Venezuela, Lebanon, Iraq, and so many more have seen their citizens demonstrate against the powers that be. So it seems fitting that the band that’s practically synonymous amongst rock fans with protest announce their first tour since 2011.

The tour dates thus far:
- El Paso, TX. 3/26/2020
- Las Cruces, NM. 3/28/2020
- Phoenix, AZ. 3/30/2020
- Indio, CA. 4/10/2020 & 4/17/2020
The shows will take place in mostly Southwest border towns, putting a spotlight on Trump’s immigration policies. An issue that the band’s members have been vocal about.
In Frederick County alone over 1700 Marylanders have been deported and torn away from their families and communities since 2008. The overwhelming majority had no criminal record besides their immigration status. Now Cecil County has just started their own 287g program.
