The battle against procrastination is one fought by many but conquered by few. We often tend to get distracted and fall right back into our comfort zones. However, in the latest episode of Get It Girl! at LATV, hosts Stephanie Elyse, Aliyah Orozco, and Britni Camacho, along with special guest Renata Valliulina, went deep into the psychology of excuses and explored the secrets to breaking free from their grip.

Stephanie put it bluntly: “If there is a will there’s a way, and if there is not, there is an excuse.”

Britni agreed, emphasizing that excuses are useless, as they hold back progress: “You are making an excuse and you are not getting it done, no matter what excuse you are making you are not getting to your goal.”

Aliyah noticed how people often put their dreams aside, waiting for what they think will be better times in the future. “‘Once I have this, then I will work towards this’ or ‘once I’m happy or once I have this person, then I’ll do that’—that is another blockage to get rid of. Because you only have now.”

Meet TikTok Star Renata Valliulina

The highlight of the episode was the arrival of special guest Renata Valliulina, a Russian TikTok sensation and model renowned for her comedy, dance, and fashion videos, which have garnered her over 14 million followers and 646 million likes.

Renata Valliulina’s journey from local television model to international TikTok star is nothing short of inspiring. She began her modeling career at the young age of 10 and, inspired by the success of American content creators, she purchased an American SIM card for her phone and launched a TikTok account. Thanks to the power of social media, Valliulina skyrocketed to global fame, worldwide with her videos covering topics such as lip-syncing, fashion, beauty, and travel just to name a few. Things aren’t slowing down for Valliulina!

In our exclusive interview on Get It Girl! Renata shared her insights on overcoming excuses: “Excuses come from the fear of not being sure of yourself for what you wanna do. I believe that if you want something you gotta get it whatever it takes. Excuses come from the fear of changing your life and you should change your life if you want to.”

Talking about her adventurous spirit, Valliulina revealed her passion for adrenaline-fueled activities, boasting an impressive tally of 89 skydives. “All my life I’ve been an adrenaline junkie,” she admitted, then assured: “I think in the US it is safer than in Russia.”
