Interview: Oscar’s Best Documentary Contender, Music by John Williams

It was about time someone would make a documentary about one of the most (if not the most) brilliant composer of all times, the one and only, John Williams, who at 92 year old still knows how to make memorable soundtracks that will forever be with us. And that ‘someone’ is no other that Laurent Bouzereau, an American-French, documentary filmmaker known for Timeless Heroes: Indiana Jones & Harrison Ford, Natalie Wood: What Remains Behind, the acclaimed Netflix series Five Came Back, and many, many more credits.

Bouzereau shared with us how he had been contemplating the idea of doing a documentary about John for a long time and it was through his connection with Spielberg that he was able to approach him.

Music By John Williams, an all-new documentary on the life and career of the legendary composer, will have a limited theatrical release and begins streaming November 1 on Disney+. The documentary features interviews with Steven Spielberg, Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, Kate Capshaw, Gustavo Dudamel, J.J. Abrams, Chris Martin, Ron Howard, Chris Columbus, George Lucas, Itzhak Perlman, Lawrence Kasdan, Yo-Yo Ma, Ke Huy Quan, James Mangold, Alan Silvestri, David Newman, Thomas Newman, Seth MacFarlane, Anne-Sophie Mutter, and Branford Marsalis, whose lives have been touched by Williams’ timeless music.

Williams has already 54 Academy Nominations and I wouldn’t be surprised if this was his 55th!

Stay tuned for the entire interview for more details!
