Paris is all set to be the host country for the 2024 Olympic Games, scheduled from July 26th to August 11th, with the Paralympic Games following suit from August 28th to September 8th. The action kicks off with rugby and soccer on July 24th, just two days ahead of the grand opening ceremony on July 26th. This historic ceremony marks a century since the 1924 closing ceremony, taking place on July 27th. An estimated 10,500 athletes are expected to participate in the Olympic Games.

Aquatic sports will steal the limelight with a staggering 49 events, spanning swimming, diving, and water polo. In total, these Olympics will feature 32 different sports and 329 medal events. And, for the first time in Olympic history, breakdancing will be introduced as a new sport.

But the excitement isn’t just confined to Paris. The soccer tournament will be played across various French cities, and in a historic first, the paradise island of Tahiti will host the surfing competitions, approximately 15,000 kilometers from Paris.

Sailing enthusiasts will also witness significant changes with the introduction of two new categories: windsurfing and formula kite, commonly known as kite surf.
