Mr. Toughlife’ Star Jesus Sepulveda Sets the Record Straight On Checkitow

Before starting a career in comedy, Jesus Sepulveda had a natural talent for making people laugh. He began to hone his comedy act at 15 and has been in the comedy scene ever since. He can now be seen on HBO Max in his new comedy special “Mr. Tough Life.”
Jesus Sepulveda hails from Arizona and is one of today’s fast-rising stand up comedians. In his new special Mr. Tough Life, the comedian talks a lot about the dynamic relationships between first and second generation Latin sons, their families, and their fathers, in addition to the acceptance and sometimes need for therapy to deal with all our traumas.
Jesus has had a prolific career performing across the country and producing original content for his social media channels. He was featured on Chingo Bling’s They Can’t Deport us All (Netflix) and also was featured in the first compilation of HBO Latinos’ “Entre Nos” in 2017. In 2015 he was a top finalist on the NBC Diversity Showcase, a nationwide competition featuring thousands of stand-up comedians.
Jesus’s stage performances display his engaging storytelling, likability, and unrivaled energy. He has performed across the country at iconic sites like The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, the Ice House in Pasadena, the Chelsea Music Hall, The Stand NYC, Greenwich Village Comedy Club, and the Broadway Comedy Club.
Not only can he excite an audience, but Jesus has gained a following who can walk away from his show feeling like they gained a friend.
Fresh off his new HBO comedy special Mr. Tough Life, Jesus joins (me) Humberto Guida on the latest installment of the Checkitow Podcast to offer up the most inspiring story of how he broke into comedy, talk about resilience…
