Marycarmen López and Rocsi Díaz on ‘La Charla’: “It’s a safe space to feel seen and heard”

It’s about the right time for what we’re about to bring to you! The hardest-working group of Latinas has gotten together to bring you La Charla. A brand new series that aims to pave the way and create opportunity for Latinos through the power of conversation.

“We want the audience, in general women, we want them to feel like it’s a safe space for expression, it’s a safe space for showing emotion. We want them to come and feel seen and to feel heard and to just see us as their sisters as their mothers, their familia. Just to create a safe space for all women and all people,” says actress Marycarmen López Schulman, who created the show and will co-host along TV and radio personality, Rocsi Díaz and actress and entrepreneur Amara La Negra.  “I feel like men, too, will kind of agree with what we say. [Laughs]. Or saying ‘I grew up with a sister like that.’ We just want the audience to feel like they’re  family and to feel welcome.”

Sisterhood is what this show is about. With relatable topics like Friendship, Body Image, Fashion and Parents, there’s no point of view or opinion that will be off the coffee table for these fierce Latinas.

As for Rocsi, having an extensive resume as a host in the Media Industry, she shared the importance of working with a network that’s focusing on the full potential of Latinos, front and center.

“What it means for us to work with a network like LATV it’s just nice to see representation. It’s nice to feel wanted and that the content that we’re creating is wanted and there’s a need. I think that there’s a void that’s being filled and a lot of people are searching for a show like what Marycarmen came up with. I’m completely honored,” says the Honduran-born host and current contributor of Good Morning America (ABC).

If you haven’t seen a group of women having innate chemistry on and off camera, stay tuned for this trio.

“I have to say I haven’t  worked with a better crew of women. Honestly, Marycarmen has a heart of gold, too. She’s a beautiful woman, a beautiful mother, a beautiful wife. You know, something I aspire to be. Amara is a fireball. She doesn’t care, she does not hold back. Which I appreciate, because I do not hold back either, so me and her, we go! We love each other, and we have so much respect for each other. There’s no faking in Friendship. I’ve been part of shows where they try to do chemistry tests for people, but that was not needed for us!” – Rocsi Díaz

La Charla premiers Thursday, November 3rd on the LATV+ App. You don’t wanna miss it!
