Marc Anthony’s Exclusive YouTube Concert

During the pandemic, artists have not been able to have in-person concerts with their fans. In Latin music, there are different genres such as Mariachi, Banda, Cumbia, Pop Latino, Reggaeton, Bachata and Salsa. Celia Cruz is known as the Queen of Salsa and Marc Anthony is known as the King of Salsa. Marc Anthony announced he would be having a virtual live concert called, “Una Noche.” The virtual concert took place this past weekend on Saturday, April 17th in Miami.
Anthony was set to do a livestream in 50 countries. During the concert, there were technical issues with the livestream, and fans were not able to log in to the event. On social media, Anthony posted a letter of apology to his fans for the inconvenience. The full concert was released on his YouTube Channel, but was only be available for 24 hours for his fans to watch for free. He also announced every fan who purchased a ticket for the concert on Saturday will receive a full refund.
During his concert, Anthony also celebrated thirty years of his music career. He invited Daddy Yankee known as the King of Reggaeton to perform their song, “De Vuelta Pa La Vuelta.” During their performance, Yankee wore a leather jacket that said, “WAKE UP & LIVE.” Anthony shared that Yankee invited him to do their first musical collaboration together. He also shared, after finishing his album “OPUS,” Maluma sent Anthony a song called “Parecen Viernes” which became part of the album. Anthony also sang “Vivir Mi Vida,” “Flor Pálida,” “Lo Que De Ti,” “Tu Amor Me Hace Bien” and many more of his greatest hits.
During the concert, Anthony shared this with his fans watching from their homes:
“We are all going through the same thing and just stay safe out there. If this is the only way for us to reach you it’s my honor until we met face to face again. Thank you.”
