Maluma and Roselyn Sánchez to host the 2025 Latin Grammys

The Latin Recording Academy announced that Maluma and Roselyn Sánchez will be the official hosts of the 26th edition of the Latin Grammy Awards, set to take place on November 13 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The announcement, made on Wednesday, October 29, marks the Colombian artist’s debut as a host and the eighth return of the Puerto Rican actress and singer to the most prestigious stage in Latin music.

The singer of “Hawái” will experience a new phase in his career as he takes on the role of host at the Latin Grammy Awards for the first time. With 20 nominations throughout his career and a Grammy for Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album for “F.A.M.E.” (2018), Maluma is adding another milestone to his connection with the Academy.

 

 

“I am very excited about this opportunity that the Academy is giving me. We have years of history together, fortunately, I have my Grammy, and you’ve been a fundamental part of my musical career,” expressed the Colombian artist in a video shared on his social media.

“This ceremony is going to be incredible, and once again, thank you so much for having me as this year’s host. I love you all a lot,” added the singer, hinting that the gala will feature unforgettable moments.

Roselyn Sánchez is set to return to one of her favorite roles: the master of ceremonies. This will mark her eighth stint as the host of the Latin Grammy Awards, reinforcing her close connection with the celebration of Latin music.

“Having the chance to host the 26th Latin Grammy Awards is a huge honor, my friends, and it truly makes me so happy. I love hosting the awards; it feels like family, and celebrating Latin music is the best,” shared the Puerto Rican actress and producer.

 

 

Sánchez, who has also been nominated for a Latin Grammy, expressed her eagerness by stating she is “really looking forward to November 13 when we get to meet in Las Vegas.”

The blend of Maluma’s global energy with Roselyn Sánchez’s experience and elegance promises a vibrant and memorable gala. With them at the helm, the 26th edition of the Latin Grammy Awards is shaping up to be a celebration highlighting the diversity, strength, and passion of Latin music.

The broadcast, produced by TelevisaUnivision, will air live on November 13 at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, preceded by a special one-hour program.

 

Bad Bunny leads nominations with 12 nods, followed by Edgar Barrera

 

Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny leads this year’s nominations with 12 nods, including Album of the Year for “Debí Tirar Más Fotos,” and double nominations in Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Baile Inolvidable” and “DtMF.”

 

 

They are followed by the Mexican composer and producer Edgar Barrera and the Argentine duo CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, with 10 nominations each, strengthening the presence of diverse talents in the industry.

The ceremony will feature performances by Kacey Musgraves, Rauw Alejandro, Carlos Santana, Grupo Frontera, Christian Nodal, and Edgar Barrera, along with artists already confirmed like Pepe Aguilar, Gloria Estefan, Los Tigres del Norte, and Carín León.

Additionally, the Academy will pay tribute to the legendary Spanish singer Raphael, who will be honored as the 2025 Person of the Year for his career and contributions to Spanish music.

Before the main event, the Latin Grammy Premiere will take place, where most of the technical and genre categories will be awarded. The Academy has hinted that more details about this pre-event and new surprises for the televised broadcast will be revealed soon.

With Maluma and Roselyn Sánchez leading the way, and a nominee list that showcases the richness of Spanish music, the 2025 Latin Grammy Awards promise to be a night filled with spectacular performances, emotions, and Latino pride.
