Madison Taylor Baez of ‘Selena:The Series” to Star in ‘Let the Right One In’

According to a Hollywood Reporter exclusive, Madison Taylor Baez, who starred in Selena: The Series on Netflix as a young Selena will be a lead in the new Showtime series Let the Right One In which is set to produce the pilot episode.
Let the Right One In is a new series based on the Swedish vampire drama that has been long-rumored and highly anticipated. The pilot of the potential series also stars Jacob Buster (Colony), Kevin Carroll (Snowfall), and Ian Foreman (Merry Wish-Mas). It’s based on a novel that gives vampire stories a completely different spin. This one centers around what happens to a family when they find out their 12-year-old daughter Eleanor (played by our favorite Latina) becomes a vampire.
The storyline hints at being something of a Hanna… but instead of a little girl biologically modified assassin, it’s a little vampire girl with superhuman strength, powers, and immortality. This will definitely add some excitement to the streaming world and a new texture to the kinds of roles available for Latina actors of all ages. Imagine a tween Latina action star on Showtime!
Madison recently visited an episode of LATV’s hit Latina series Get it Girl where she spoke about the pressure and expectations on her at such a young age to play such an iconic role. She is no doubt a triple threat especially after releasing a Madison Taylor Baez Christmas album to showcase her incredible voice. In the interview, you can see how talented, mature, and likable Madison is for her age and it’s obvious why she was chosen to be the main lead in what promises to be a very successful franchise.
