The Culture and Talent of Latinx Artists Embodied on Old Navy’s Project WE

Three Latinx artists are being highlighted as part of Old Navy’s Project WE during Hispanic Heritage Month with a limited-edition collection of tees available for adults, kids and toddlers. The brand honors the many cultures, heritages, and experiences that identify as Latinx.
The inspiring artwork is from Manuela Guillén (Cuban/Salvadoran, she/her), Ruby Marquez (Chicanx, they/them), and Favianna Rodriquez (Latinx, she/her), who celebrate the diversity, color, shape and fun of our Latinx culture. Check out the designs below!
Favianna’s design celebrates the different Latinx experiences that together form a “unique, complex and beautiful culture.”

Manuela was inspired by “the Latinx dream, the love for the culture, and the resilience of our people.”

Ruby’s design features a traditional vase and flowers that “pay respect to my indigenous roots. I’m proud of my people.”

Old Navy is also donating $1M to Boys & Girls Clubs youth arts programs across the country.
Research shows participation in the arts is tied to positive outcomes ranging from greater self-esteem to rates of college attendance, but fifty percent of the lowest income elementary schools lack an arts classroom. Through this donation, Old Navy aims to help Boys & Girls Clubs of America close this gap by providing equitable access to arts experiences.
