Latino Leaders Network to Honor Danny Trejo

Established in 2004, the Latino Leaders Network is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to “Bringing Leaders Together” to share personal stories, grow relationships and build unity in the Latino community.
We had the pleasure of speaking with CEO and founder, Mickey Ibarra, the perfect example of showing how resilience and hard work pays off no matter where you came from. He went from being a Latino foster kid in Utah to working for President Bill Clinton.
When he was at the top, he realized, there weren’t many Latinos at that level. One of the essential pieces to success is to have a support group who inspires you and pushes you towards your goal. That’s when he came to the conclusion that a platform was needed to share his story to hopefully inspire other latinos and create a network.
Today, we’ll be celebrating the 65th Luncheon in Downtown Los Angeles, California, honoring Danny Trejo who will be receiving the Eagle Leadership Award for making a significant impact on the lives of Latinos living in the U.S. We can’t thank enough Mickey Ibarra, for creating this community of “Latinidad.”
Now, more than ever, we need to change the negative narrative around minorities in this country and this is a great way to do so.
