Lady Gaga made an unforgettable return to Mexico City this past weekend, thrilling fans with two back-to-back, sold-out ¡VIVA LA MAYHEM! concerts at Estadio GNP Seguros. The 39-year-old superstar delivered a spectacular performance on Saturday (April 26) and Sunday (April 27), bringing nearly the same high-energy show she performed at Coachella just weeks before.

The concerts marked Gaga’s first performances in Mexico in over a decade, with fans eagerly awaiting her return since her Born This Way Ball tour in 2012. True to form, Gaga went above and beyond to make the night memorable, showcasing her signature blend of theatricality, heartfelt emotion, and raw artistry.

One of the most touching moments of the night came before her performance of the beloved hit “Alejandro.” Standing atop a grand castle set with a Mexican flag draped below her, Gaga paused to read a heartfelt letter to her fans in spanish. Translated into English, the letter read:

It’s such an honor to be here tonight in your beautiful country, performing for everyone. It’s been 13 years since I was last in Mexico, and coming back has been so special.
I hope you feel, in every detail of tonight’s show, how much effort I put into showing how much I admire and respect each of you. Everything was done with a lot of love and dedication.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for choosing to spend this evening with me. It means the world to me.
Mexico City has a very special place in my heart because it was here that I ended my first stadium tour, the Monster Ball. I will never forget the emotion and passion you shared with me at that farewell, the most important show of my career so far.
