Karol G Becomes First Latina to Headline Coachella

La Bichota Is Headlining Coachella 2026
Colombian superstar Karol G will headline Coachella 2026, joining Justin Bieber and Sabrina Carpenter at the top of the lineup, following the festival’s official announcement this week. With this, Karol G becomes the first Colombian artist, first Latina, and the second Latin artist ever to headline Coachella, marking another historic milestone in her career and in the presence of Latin music worldwide.
Karol G is no stranger to the Empire Polo Club stage in Indio, California. She previously performed at Coachella in 2022 and 2023, dazzling fans with her shows. But this time, she returns as a headliner, cementing her place among the festival’s most iconic acts.

Before her, Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny made history in 2023 as the first Latin artist to headline the festival. Since then, names like Peso Pluma and J Balvin have had strong presences at Coachella, yet Karol G now steps into the main spotlight.
The festival will take place across two weekends: April 10–12 and April 17–19, 2026. According to Coachella’s official announcement, Karol G will headline on Saturday, April 12, and Saturday, April 19. Sabrina Carpenter will headline the Fridays (April 10 and 17), while Justin Bieber takes the stage as Sunday’s main act (April 11 and 18).
Sharing the bill with Karol G are major names including The XX, Disclosure, Devo, Iggy Pop, The Strokes, Addison Rae, BIGBANG, Major Lazer, Teddy Swims, and Foster the People, among others. The lineup has already sparked buzz online, with Karol’s name standing out as a symbol of how far Latin music has reached into global spaces.
Karol G herself celebrated the announcement with her fans on Instagram, sharing the poster with the message: “Coachella 2026, LA BICHOTA ES HEADLINER🔥 Nos vemos en el desierto 😏🧡🌵✨ #TROPICOACHELLA MODE ON.”

Karol G’s 2025
Her headlining gig adds to an already spectacular year of achievements. Just last weekend, she shared the stage with the legendary tenor Andrea Bocelli at the Vatican’s Plaza de San Pedro, performing as part of Grace for the World during the third edition of the World Meeting on Human Fraternity.
Wearing an elegant black beaded gown, Karol G delivered an emotional performance of “Mientras me curo del cora”, before joining Bocelli for a moving rendition of “Vivo por ella.” The duet brought ovations and heartfelt reactions from the crowd, especially from Latin American attendees.
Earlier this month, Karol also made headlines when she took the stage at the NFL’s special Brazil showcase, delivering a high-energy halftime show at the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Los Angeles Chargers game. Her performance featured hits from her chart-topping 2025 album Tropicoqueta, further proof of her global appeal and versatility.
