Kanye West and Drake Squash Beef as Photo in Toronto Goes Viral

Well, one of the most legendary beefs in modern day Hip-Hop has come to a conclusion. In an apparent digital peace treaty of sorts, Ye posted a flick on his Instagram feed posing with Drake and J prince, one of Drake’s longtime producers. People are waiting to see how Pusha T reacts to the squazing of the Drake and Kanye beef too. This comes just days after Ye offered up a public invitation to Drake join him at an event in Los Angeles, saying “it’s time to put it to rest.” As it turns out, it was actually the infamous Larry Hoover who requested an end to this long standing rivalry. Ye has been very vocal about freeing the convicted felon from incarceration, and even had Larry’s son on his Drink Champs podcast interview to discuss his release.
The “it” that Ye is referring to is some serious beef he’s had with Drake for quite a while now, dating all the way back to 2018. At that time, Pusha T released a song with a line about Drake’s son Adonis, before his existence was public. It would later come out that Kanye gave Pusha the intel, leading to an instant breakdown of trust between Kanye and Drake’s OVO fam. The conflict was then reignited earlier this summer when Drake appeared on the Trippie Redd single “Betrayal,” which contained the lyrics: “All these fools I’m beefin’ that I barely know/Forty-five, forty-four (Burned out), let it go/Ye ain’t changin’ shit for me, it’s set in stone.”
The two continued to squabble back and forth for a while – and it got petty. At one point, Kanye even posted Drake’s Toronto address, but quickly deleted it. He later said he got it off google, which should honestly be an ad for google; I digress. Most recently, a Drake diss track entitled “Life of the Party” featuring Andre 3000 was leaked by Drake prior to the official release of Ye’s album, Donda; however, the release backfired for Drake because people actually loved the song. About a week after Ye’s Drink Champs interview with N.O.R.E. where he took a few mostly innocent shots at Drake, they have officially linked up in Toronto to settle this sizzling beef once and for all.
After posting the photo on IG, both Drake and Ye posted videos of the two chopping it up and getting some laughs in at a Dave Chapelle show in Toronto – a great way to celebrate their reconciliation. Here’s to a new era of love and positivity between two of the greatest Hip-Hop artists to ever do it.
