Julissa Calderon on embracing self love and manifestation
In a one on one exclusive with host Eliana Reyes, Julissa Calderon shares her remarkable journey from Miami to becoming a successful actress and entrepreneur. Her story is one of determination, self-love, and the power of manifestation.
Julissa’s path wasn’t always clear, after only two semesters at the University of Florida, she realized that nursing wasn’t her true calling. It was a pivotal moment when she decided to pursue her passion for theater, believing wholeheartedly that she was destined to be a paid actress.
The journey to Los Angeles was with faith and determination as Julissa approached it with high hopes. As her time in Los Angeles passed she found herself auditioning for the show Gente-Fied. Despite feeling like she had nothing to lose, Julissa’s presence and authenticity shone through, landing her a chemistry read that ultimately led to her breakthrough role. When she talked about that specific process she recalls her mindset prior to the audition. “I went into it with no pressure and nothing to lose.” She would soon find herself offered the role a significant accomplishment in her career.

Manifestation has always been a guiding principle for Julissa. She firmly believes in the power of creating opportunities through positive thinking and intentional action. This belief fueled her entrepreneurial spirit, leading to the launch of her journal. Initially motivated by income saying to herself “How do I wake up 100 dollars richer everyday” but she knew whatever venture she decided to approach it still had to remain true to herself and the brand he wanted to convey to the world.
Although her Journal was met with major success, she understands that the journey of entrepreneurship wasn’t without its challenges. “Entrepreneurship is not easy” she says she believes that having a leap of faith and the finances can get you far. “You have to be disciplined and believe in yourself, If I was going to bet on anyone and double down, it was going to be me.” The success of the journal prompted important conversations that one should have within themselves and for Julissa it came with knowing that it empowers others, even offering a 6 city tour. She understands that her story and journal are especially meant to empower women all over the world. Growing up she was the only girl amongst her siblings and often wondered why she was never blessed with a sister but as an adult she realized she was meant to be a sister to the world. “At the end of the day, I am here to empower.”
Julissa’s newest journal is a testament to her growth and dedication. “It’s a reflection of who I am, I’ve had so much growth, so the introspection of what I did to become this Julissa is what so many other people to do.” The journal’s first page bears a beautiful quote dedicated to her younger self, a reminder that self-love and acceptance are essential for manifesting dreams. Julissa encourages others to embark on their own inner journeys, understanding that true fulfillment comes from inside.
