Joe Germanotta and Gabby Gabriel Are Reshaping the Future of Media

In an era where entertainment, business, and activism intertwine more than ever, Second Wind Media is emerging as a fresh and powerful force in the media landscape. Co-founded by Joe Germanotta, a serial entrepreneur, and father of global superstar Lady Gaga, alongside Gabby Gabriel, this company represents the fusion of two visionary minds, one an accomplished business owner deeply rooted in entertainment, the other a marketing strategist with global experience. Together, they’re proving that vision paired with values can drive real change.

Their partnership began through Joe’s publicist, who introduced him to Gabby. With a strong background in marketing and a proven track record across Asia, Gabby quickly impressed Joe. She was brought on to sharpen the marketing strategy for his Manhattan-based restaurant, Joanne, on the Upper West Side.

The impact was immediate. Gabby’s fresh perspective and innovative techniques revitalized the restaurant’s presence and engagement. Joe recognized not just the marketing success, but the potential for something much bigger.

Their creative connection was undeniable, leading Joe and Gabby to launch Second Wind Media, a company blending their talents and passion for storytelling, visibility, and opportunity.

“When it comes to business,” Gabby says, “I see business as activism.” As an active LGBTQ+ advocate, Gabby is committed to increasing inclusive representation in both media and business. “There isn’t enough queer representation, and showing diverse faces helps people see themselves and dream bigger.”

Joe shares this belief deeply. Through his family’s Born This Way Foundation, he’s long championed advocacy and community. Joanne itself reflects this mission, hosting drag shows, LGBTQ+ comedians, and queer artists, offering a platform to be seen and celebrated.

Balancing the demands of a bustling restaurant and an expanding media company isn’t easy, but Joe credits his dedicated team at Joanne for allowing him to focus more on Second Wind Media. “It’s a business of eyeballs,” he explains, emphasizing the fast-paced, attention-driven media world. Both Joe and Gabby understand that visibility is everything, and they’re determined to keep their company at the forefront.

Already, Second Wind Media has landed major partnerships. The company is the official media partner of this fall’s New York Television Festival and spearheaded the launch of On Stage Essentials, a costume and performance supply shop based in Las Vegas co-founded by Joe’s daughter Natali Germanotta Dolan along with Alex Dolan and Perry Meek.

Looking forward, Joe and Gabby are developing a television show centered on Joanne’s weekly “emerging talent” showcases. For Joe, the show is a platform to empower fresh voices and help shape their futures. Beyond the stage, he often connects standout performers with vocal coaches and industry contacts to advance their careers.

Asked about the future, Joe is optimistic: “The future of the company is a rocketship.” Gabby adds, “Entertainment is marketing and marketing is entertainment, so you have to attract attention.” She goes on to say, “Joe is probably one of the most experienced people in entertainment on the planet” a statement backed by decades of work and impact, including his integral role in supporting the careers of his two daughters, one a brilliant and successful fashion designer in Natali Germanotta Dolan who has worked with some of the biggest stars and has recently opened up her own store in Las Vegas, to his other daughter, Emmy, Academy Award and 14-time Grammy winner Lady Gaga. So Joe knows a thing or two about having a keen eye for talent.

When it comes to their ideal client, Joe is clear: “Emerging artists or new products that need business development and marketing.” Gabby adds, “Anyone who works with us is going to be successful.”

With bold ideas, a commitment to representation, and genuine respect for emerging talent, Second Wind Media is more than just a company, it’s a movement. Joe and Gabby aren’t simply creating media, they’re building momentum for artists and brands ready to lead in the spotlight. As the industry evolves, Second Wind Media ensures their clients don’t just keep up, they set the pace. And with their shared vision, this journey is just beginning of a very successful partnership.
