Ivy Queen’s Health Updates and New Music Drops!

In late May 2022, the popular Puerto Rican Singer Ivy Queen posted images on Tik Tok revealing she was battling a serious health issue which required hospitalization. The Latina music icon, whose real name is Martha Ivelisse Pesante Rodríguez, is also a well known actress, songwriter and rapper.

After an alarming report from the artist about her health earlier this year, we’re happy to report that Ivy Queen is back in business and ready to keep bringing us her music.

La Reina del Reggaetón will be part of Billboard’s Latin Music Week which takes place in Miami in September.

She just debuted her new single “Quién Dijo” on Univision’s morning show Despierta America celebrating more than two decades in the Latino music scene.

Her popular songs like the songs “Yo Quiero Bailar” and “Quiero Saber” from the 2003 album Diva and the 2010 song ‘La Vida Es asi’ catapulted her to be one of the most recognized reggaetón artists, garnering a huge fanbase that follow her every move.

Reason why his fans were concerned about the artists health earlier this year. Ivy Queen is closely associated with the Cure foundation of Susan G. Komen and this has led to speculation that she is suffering from this illness. However, this speculation may not be accurate, since the mother of Ivy Queen has recovered from cancer, so the singer has been helping patients fight cancer through the foundation for many years now.
