Indiana Jones and the ‘Dial of Destiny,’ a Finale to Remember | Our Review

Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the Screening of the New “Indiana Jones” film and let me tell you, after 42 years, Indiana Jones still has it.
This classic action-adventure franchise has come back with its latest film title, “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” which took me back to my childhood.
At this time, Harrison Ford takes us back to the 1930s, time period when ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ took place.
The movie begins with a throwback of Jones during World War II. As you can imagine, thanks to technology, we can watch a digitally rejuvenated Indiana Jones (it still impresses me how good this VFX looks) fighting his old enemies, the Nazis.

Indi and his pal and colleague Basil Shaw tried to rescue an artifact known as the Antikythera Mechanism, created by Archimedes (Greek mathematician) to predict “fissures in time.” This artifact was composed of two parts, and one was nowhere to be found.
After a series of events, the movie goes forward in time to when Jones is attending his retirement party; of course, the party is interrupted by two new characters: Jürgen Voller (a rocket scientist, played by Saunette Renée Wilson) and Helena Shaw (Phoebe Waller-Bridge), the daughter of Basil Shaw, who were looking for the Antikythera Mechanism. Also, Voller, a Nazi fugitive, is looking for the artifact, hoping to change the outcome of World War II by fixing Hitler’s mistakes.

In this 1 hour and 42-minute film, some old mysteries are solved, and it also creates a fair closing to the story that will captivate the fans.
This fifth film is the last by composer John Williams and the first-time direction of this franchise by James Mangold (Logan, Ford vs. Ferrari, among others).

Harrison Ford cannot be left out of a special ovation. Seeing his dynamic performance (at almost 81 years old) was incredible, making us feel nostalgic for reliving old times.
You can’t miss Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny! Catch it in your nearest theater premiering June 29th.
