On a whole new episode of Shades of Beauty, our hosts Yoe Apolinario and Simone Mariposa talk lace fronts, wigs, weaves, micro links, you name it —if it has to do with hair, we’re talking about it! 

During the breakdown, Yoe and Simmone are super stoked to get into this topic, there is so much to talk about Black hair. In fact, a breakout number of people are searching for easy hairstyles for black teenage girls with natural hair to get ideas for how to make it work. 

“A lot of protective styles for kinky, curly hair take a while, but the result is worth it,” says Simone.

Also, we’ll catch up with colorist and hair guru Leysa Carrillo who is here to discuss curly hair and the implications that come with dying it. She shares about her career and even gives some tips about avoiding damaging your hair when coloring it. In fact, natural hair and curly hair are making a big comeback especially since people started finding out that Selena had curly hair!
