Golden Globes 2022 List of Latino Winners

The Golden Globes took place last night and artists of Latino origin walked away with a few awards!

The films The Power of the Dog and West Side Story were the winners in an edition of the Golden Globes that took place far from the spotlight without the usual glamor, amid a controversy over the lack of diversity among the members of the jury.

West Side Story

Rachel Zegler

The actress of Colombian descent won Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her role in West Side Story.

Ariana Debose

The actress, dancer and singer with Puerto Rican roots won Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in West Side Story.

Encanto

Disney’s animated film inspired by Colombia that tells the story of the Madrigal family, won Best Animated Film.

MJ Rodriguez

MJ Rodríguez is celebrating his historic victory at the 2022 Golden Globes.

On Sunday night, the 31-year-old actress received a Golden Globe for best actress in a television drama for her role as Blanca on the FX series Pose. The victory marks the first time a transgender actor has won a Golden Globe.

Anthony Ramos

The sexy actor with Puerto Rican roots earned a nomination for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Film for his participation in the film adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical, In the Heights.

The Spanish Oscar winner was nominated for Best Actor for his role as Desi Arnaz, who stars alongside Nicole Kidman for Amazon Prime Video.
