Dating Disasters: What Were They Thinking?

First, our hosts spilled the tea on the most ridiculous things men do to impress them. According to Britni, revving their engines does nothing but induce headaches. Do guys seriously believe this impresses anyone?

“If they dated someone really cool in the past, a model or someone really beautiful or an actress, to bring up their exes or name drop them. It’s like dude…” Aliyah said while rolling her eyes. Stephanie added that the lack of accountability in relationships is a major turn-off, urging guys to take a step back from their egos.

Meet VALÉ: A Colombian Star with a Heartfelt Homesick Song

Then it was time for Colombian singer VALÉ to sit on our couch. This rising star from Barranquilla discussed how she broke into the music industry thanks to her infectious melodies, catchy hooks, and stand-out vocals that are captivating audiences worldwide. She also shared the backstory of her emotional track, “The Homesick Song,” which expresses the challenges of being away from home.

Aliyah connected with VALÉ and commented: “It’s so hard to really stay somewhere and pursue your dreams when you have so much love back home.”

VALÉ then opened up about her biggest adjustment, while being new not only to the music industry but also to the United States – managing her own money and resisting the temptation of nightly takeout in the land of endless food options.

Eliana Reyes: Amplifying Afrolatino voices on Blacktinidad and Shades of Beauty

Eliana Reyes visited our set to discuss her shows “Blacktinidad” and “Shades of Beauty,” currently airing on LATV Network. With a passion for amplifying stories that explore the intersectionality of blackness and Latinidad, Eliana talked about the nuanced experiences of identity. She shared the struggles of feeling left out when discussions about Latinos don’t include her while also not fitting the stereotypical image of being ‘black enough.’

Trends People Over 40 Find Absurd

Wrapping up the show, our hosts looked at trends that are leaving people over 40 scratching their heads. From cringe-worthy selfies with tongues sticking out to regrettable duck lips, the girls talked about the ever-evolving world of social media. Britni admitted to never overlining her lips, crediting their fullness to genetics, while Stephanie questioned the popularity of certain TikTok trends, especially the ones involving crying and bad dancing.

Aliyah then confessed to uploading a video of herself crying but then set it to private out of sheer regret. “It’s going to stay on the internet forever. If I ever upload a video of me crying please call me, I’m not well,” Stephanie responded.

Don’t miss out on all the fun! Get ready to ‘Get it, Girl!‘ with Britni, Stephanie, and Aliyah!
