‘Ganadoras’ Kicks Off with MVP Moms and Ford’s Commitment to Hispanic Youth Soccer

The premiere episode of Ganadoras, hosted by Sofia Gutierrez, is here to shine a spotlight on the unsung heroes of the soccer world—moms. This debut episode promises to be both heartwarming and inspiring as it highlights the crucial role mothers play in supporting their children’s aspirations, especially in sports like soccer.

The dedication and sacrifices of these MVP Moms have been instrumental in their children’s soccer careers. The episode features:

  • Sofia Huerta, whose mother, Jody Jensen, made significant sacrifices to support her transition from the Mexican National Team to the U.S. Women’s National Team.
  • Linda Caicedo, whose battle with ovarian cancer was supported by her family, enabling her to rise to prominence with Real Madrid and make her debut at the Women’s World Cup.
  • Amy Rodriguez, a former U.S. Women’s National Team player who attributes her Olympic gold and World Cup victories to the support of her mother, Lori.

These stories underscore the pivotal role soccer moms play in their children’s achievements and highlight the collective effort of the community in nurturing future stars.

A Commitment to Soccer and Community

In perfect harmony with the episode’s theme, Ford is spotlighted  as a key supporter of Hispanic youth soccer through initiatives like Ford Copita Alianza and “Que Golazo de Grants.”
Ford Copita Alianza stands as the largest grassroots Hispanic youth soccer tournament in the country, while “Qué Golazo de Grants” offers educational support to student-athletes, so they can reach their potential on and off the field. The episode features a Ford commercial that honors and celebrates MVP Moms and the role they play in fostering the next generation of soccer talent, a  commitment Ford is also proud to support.

This brand new episode of Ganadoras also highlights Amanda Jimenez, a Pasadena native and mom of two, who has devoted her life to empowering young athletes through local soccer programs. As a former player and current coach, Amanda founded the Dena Dinos to provide young players with opportunities for growth both on and off the field. Her commitment to sports as a means of personal development and community building is a testament to the values celebrated in Ganadoras.

We encourage you to visit Ford’s website for more information on their soccer programs and community initiatives.

Tune in to the premiere of Ganadoras to experience a celebration of MVP Moms and see how Ford is contributing to the future of youth soccer.
