We Tried Medieval Fencing Like Real Guerreras

Throughout history there have been many badass guerreras whose bravery on the battlefield is often overshadowed by their male comrades. From Joan of arc to Las Adelitas of the Mexican Revolution, women have shown that they’re more than capable of carrying themselves in combat.

With that same warrior spirit, we’re taking the fight to Hollywood! In collaboration with Disney’s ‘Willow’, Academy of Arms Instructor Paul Barolet teaches Cultura Shock’s Anakaren López the origins of medieval swordplay, how to wield a sword properly, and defeat the tired ‘damsels in distress’ trope in our stories!
