Gordita Chronicles’ (HBO Max) LA Premiere Photos

HBO Max celebrated the premiere of their upcoming Max Original series Gordita Chronicles at Valentine DTLA that featured appearances from Executive Producers Zoe Saldaña, Eva Longoria, the series cast, and more.

The show that will premiere on HBO Max on June 23rd follows Cucu “Gordita” Castelli (Olivia Goncalves) leaving her beloved Santo Domingo and moving to Miami with her marketing executive father Víctor (Juan Javier Cardenas), bold and vivacious mother Adela (Diana Maria Riva), and status-obsessed older sister Emilia (Savannah Nicole Ruiz). While life in America is far from what they imagined, the Castellis are determined to take charge of their strange new world.

So to celebrate it and make justice to Miami in the 80’s, guests had access to an exclusive screening of the first episode and experienced what it was like to grow up Latinx in Miami during the 80’s through vibrant, retro tone and nostalgic decor, fashion, food, music and more.

Additionally, attendees got to participate in a panel discussion moderated by Olivia Goncalves, star of Gordita Chronicles, that also featured Executive Producers Eva Longoria and Zoe Saldaña and series creator Claudia Forestieri.
