“Esencia”: how Brazilian beautician Flavia Lanini has revolutionized the industry

In this new episode, Flavia opens up about her journey, sharing insights into her successful career and the development of the EFFECT™ Massage, which brings together a mix of modern, functional, and innovative aesthetic procedures with secrets that only Flavia knows. Her spa, nestled inside her upscale West Los Angeles home since 2019, has become the go-to place for those seeking top-tier beauty and wellness services.

Flavia shared the origins of her signature Massage Effect, a Brazilian lymphatic drainage massage designed to address health issues ranging from diabetes to cancer, proving that beauty and wellness go hand in hand. “The deep tissue massage and Brazilian lymphatic massage were developed to help people with diabetes, cancer, and high blood pressure because diabetic people have neuropathy and this is really good for making your circulation faster and helping you with many other issues. During pregnancy, women have a really hard time. This is more for the health side from the beauty side,” she explained.

Lanini then shared her knowledge of body image, mental well-being, and the transformative impact of her massage techniques, emphasizing the connection of the lymphatic system, gut health, and overall wellness. “We focus on your blood circulation. Your lymphatic system is almost garbage, trash. We need to help your blood send everything dirty to your lymphatic [system]. When you have a lot of toxins in your body, your immune system is too high and you can have heartburn and nausea. So we try to clean your body,” she concluded.

She also focused on the importance of complementing her massages with good mental health therapy. “It’s not only to lose weight or help [get rid of] cellulite. You need to treat yourself inside out. A lot of mental problems are connected to the body. Sometimes people go to the doctor asking for a lipo and the doctor sends the patients to us because they don’t need lipo, they have just a very inflamed gut because of depression.”

Lanini’s most crucial piece of advice is to prioritize our gut health and take care of our lymphatic system, which she considers the foundation of overall well-being. And this is only the beginning! Flavia Lanini’s wealth of knowledge is extensive, and we are excited to share this episode with all of you!
