The Disney animated film Encanto inspired by Colombia had its world premiere on Wednesday at El Capitan Theater in Hollywood.

Actress María Cecilia Botero (who plays Alma the grandmother of the Madrigal Family) was also present, salsa singer Mauro Castillo, whose character will be Felix, in homage to the Pacific region and the Colombian Caribbean. While Maluma stood out as one of the great absences, as the singer from Antioquia is another of those chosen by Disney for this new film.
Now, we all know Latinos know how to party and this event could not be complete without a musical performance of Encanto’s theme song, “Mi Colombia, Mi Encanto,” a collaboration just as magical as the film between Carlos Vives and Lin-Manuel Miranda himself.
Encanto will hit theaters on the 24th of November. Right on time for Thanksgiving Weekend and you don’t wanna miss it!
