A Look Inside the Making of ‘AMBULANCE’

The producers of AMBULANCE put so much heart into this movie. From the portrayal of first responders, paramedics, LAPD, to the storyline, to every detail of the production. This film will have you on the edge of your seat at all times.

In this fast-paced thriller from director/producer Michael Bay, decorated veteran Will Sharp (Emmy winner Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Candyman, The Matrix Resurrections), desperate for money to cover his wife’s medical bills, turns to the only person even though he shouldn’t, his adoptive brother Danny (Academy Award® nominee Jake Gyllenhaal, Zodiac, Spider-Man: Far From Home). Danny, a charismatic criminal, offers to pull off the biggest bank heist in Los Angeles history: $32 million. With the survival of his wife at stake, Will can’t say no. The desperate brothers hijack an ambulance with an injured cop clinging to life and EMT Cam Thompson (Eiza Gonzalez) on board.

In a high-speed chase that never stops, Will and Danny must evade a massive citywide police response, keep their hostages alive, and somehow try not to kill each other, all while executing the craziest escape L.A. has ever seen.

Eiza González’s portrayal of a strong female character —not a stereotypical Latinx role— was a “dream come true” for the Mexico native, she shared with ¡HOLA! magazine.
