Every day we learn more and more about unsafe ingredients and materials for human consumption and for our planet. Thank God we can find eco-friendly options everywhere nowadays, and this is not an exception for the beauty industry, which each year is growing in that category. 

Inspired by Earth Day, we want to show our support for environmental protection, listing eco-friendly brands founded by powerful Latinas who are making a difference in the beauty industry.

Let us introduce you to our pick of the day:

  • Marine + Vine: 

Marine + Vine founder Evelyn Ginossi is a Chilean-American raised in Santa Monica, California. Based on her love for California beaches, she decided to do a brand inspired by them. Her purpose is to offer clean products and sustainability:As an eco-luxe body care company inspired by some of the best beaches in the world, sustainability and ethical practices have been a priority for us since Marine + Vine was founded in 2019. Our ultimate goal:  100% sustainability of all our products, starting with our ingredients.”  

  • NTRL by Sabs:

Sabrina Rowe is an Afro-Latina celebrity hairstylist and makeup artist who decided to found a sustainable, clean beauty brand. All her products are all-natural, sustainable, and zero-waste. Her most popular products are shampoos and conditioner bars.

  • Aolisia Beauty:

Aloisia Beauty is well-known among celebrities like Kate Hudson and Adriana Lima. This award-winning, cruelty-free brand proudly expresses on its website:

 “Skin care is an essential component to overall self-care, which is why we formulate our products with clean, safe, and carefully-researched ingredients from nature and science. Our products follow health, safety, and sustainable standards and practices.”

Aloisia Beauty was founded by GG Benites, among three other amazing women.

  • VAMIGAS:

Mexican Christina Kelmon and Chilean Ann Dunning founded VAMIGAS with the idea of making clean and high-quality products with botanical ingredients from Latin America. 

They promote their products as “clean, non-toxic products that target Latinx skincare concerns like hyperpigmentation and are packaged in eco-friendly, recyclable glass.”

  • Elaluz:

Global entrepreneur Camila Coelho founded Elaluz focused on sustainability and natural ingredients.
