Diego Luna is Back with New Episodes of Award-Winning Series ‘Pan y Circo’

Get ready for October and a whole new set of fantastic Latine stories. Diego Luna is back with new episodes of the Daytime Emmy Award-winning specials, Pan y Circo.

In each special, Luna will be in charge of cooking and hosting conversations centered around fundamental societal issues. Each conversation will feature a wide variety of guests who will have various backgrounds and points of view regarding each subject being discussed around the dinner table.

The first special, entitled Access to Health, discusses how the pandemic has become just one more problem in a series of many that has come to overload our already deficient healthcare system, exacerbating its shortcomings. Although the efforts that Mexico and the broader region in general have undertaken to combat the COVID pandemic are overwhelmingly clear, deeper psychological questions remain; What are the actions that the government would need to take to adapt to the social and cultural needs of the population? Where is the limit of what is public and what is private, and how much control should the government exercise over its people?

The second special will address issues regarding the crisis of democracy and will be available on Prime Video beginning November 26. The third special will focus on the migrant experience, while the last will have citizen protests as its main topic; the latter two will be filmed in New York and will be available in 2022 to all Prime members.
