Danny Trejo Launches Alcohol Free Tequila brand and it’s Yummy

Love the tequila taste but not so much the hangover that comes right after? The good news is that you have some really good alcohol-free options in the market now. Trejo’s Spirits partnered with The New Bar–the alcohol-free discovery platform Shop–in Venice Beach which features the Zero Proof Tequila – Trejo’s Coconut Margarita (created by The New Bar) and an Infused Chili Margarita (created by Trejo’s Tacos).

As someone who has never been drunk and was always made fun of at parties for choosing apple juice or OJ instead of vodka, it makes me very happy to see that mocktails are on the rise.

Danny Trejo has publicly shared that he has been sober since 1967 so for him, Trejo’s Spirits is a very personal endeavor; the importance to spread the message that you can enjoy a delicious and healthy drink without alcohol. His line is not just for those in recovery but for anyone who wants to enjoy the taste of it. He hopes that his line will encourage people to make healthier choices and recognize that sobriety is a viable and rewarding lifestyle choice. We all know alcohol is no good for you. Sure, a glass of wine a day won’t harm you, but better no glass of wine at all. The sober-curious movement has gained popularity, with more people choosing to abstain from alcohol or reduce their consumption. Non-alcoholic spirits offer the same flavors as alcoholic drinks, without the hangover or other negative effects.
