Daniela Genie, a Mujer in Charge in the Tech World

When it comes to tech, men are well known for being in charge, but now we see how women are escalating in this male-dominated industry every day. Now that changes are happening it is not so rare to hear about a Latina working in tech.

Daniela Genie is a born and raised Venezuelan who made her first steps in tech back in 2017 while working for Musical.ly, known today as Tiktok. 

Once the platform was recognized globally, Daniela had the opportunity to grow inside the company and was promoted to work with celebrities and influencers. But before that happened, Daniela told us about the struggles that she faced at the time, not only for being a young woman in tech but for being Latina and all the misconceptions around it. 

All those challenges made Daniela the woman she is today, helping her take on a new challenge as an entrepreneur with her company, The Genie Idea, which was founded to help startups build their communities and create marketing and influencer marketing strategies. 

Daniela is definitely a Mujer in Charge of her destiny, and we are sure that she will make her way to the top of the tech industry, opening other Latinas their way to this male-dominated industry.
