The episode kicks off with host AK Lopez engaging in an intimate conversation with award-winning journalist Lisa Guerrero. Known for her fearless approach as the chief investigative correspondent for Inside Edition, Guerrero recently released her memoir titled “Warrior: My Path To Being Brave.”

Reflecting on her journey, Guerrero talks about her Chilean heritage, revealing, “I’m proud of my Latina heritage… But I lost my mother when I was 8, and also lost a huge component of my Latina heritage because I wasn’t raised around my culture. That’s why my book is called ‘Warrior,’ because Guerrero in Spanish means Warrior. My mother told me ‘You were born a warrior, and warriors are meant to fight.’ And years later I find myself fighting for justice for the victims of the crimes that I cover.”

Our special guests

Continuing the dialogue, New York native Norma Maldonado, an actress who’s had a love for acting since childhood.

The episode reached its ending with “In My Feelings,” featuring actresses Stephanie Hoston and Norma Maldonado alongside host AK Lopez. Reflecting on influential women who inspire them, the trio named a few icons such as Viola Davis, Jennifer Lopez, and Selena, while Norma also highlighted her own mother, Olga Maldonado, a resilient single mother who overcame becoming a widow and raising her children while getting her masters and beating breast cancer.
