Where We Left Off – Cobra Kai Season 5 Recap (spoiler alert!)

At the end of season five, John Kreese faked his death and escaped from prison, setting up a likely confrontation in the final season. Since he is a fugitive, it seems this showdown will take place outside the United States. Season five also introduced a new challenge with the Sekai Taikai tournament, which could determine the best fighter in the series.

Jon Hurwitz, one of the series creators, mentioned that season six will expand the Karate Kid universe more than the previous seasons combined. He explained: “The world-building has been truly exhilarating. Excited for everyone to see the diversity of scenes we’ve been filming episode to episode. We’re going to so many new places in the Miyagiverse.” With Cobra Kai eliminated from the Valley, the characters must decide if and how they will compete in the Sekai Taikai, the world championships of karate.
