Chiquis’ Flores en mi Alma Is Music for the Soul

Latin GRAMMY-winning artist, entrepreneur, and author Chiquis is entering a new era of music and mindfulness. The powerhouse performer, known for blending authenticity, vulnerability, and boldness in everything she does, has announced the release of her highly anticipated new album, Flores en mi Alma, dropping November 6.

The project, which follows her 2024 album Diamantes, marks a significant evolution in Chiquis’ artistry. While fans know her for her dynamic Banda roots and infectious energy, this new work ventures into uncharted territory: a blend of spiritual reflection, healing frequencies, and deeply personal storytelling.

“This new stage in my life and my music was born from a need to heal,” Chiquis told Apple Music. “I thought I wanted to take a break from music, but really, my soul was asking me to sing a different kind of song; music from the soul, for the soul.”

Written and recorded after a transformative spiritual retreat, Flores en mi Alma features eight tracks that combine introspection, joy, and connection. The tracklist includes previously released singles “Fénix” and “Pa’ Mi Gente”, along with Intro: Amor y Luz, Good Morning (Buenos Días) featuring Aston Barrett Jr., Madre Tierra (Interlude), Somos with Jonas Camacho, Flores, and Soy Luz (Meditación Guiada).

The songs draw from a wide range of influences, from reggae rhythms to meditative soundscapes, reflecting her personal growth and artistic freedom. “Each song carries a frequency you might not hear but you’ll feel,” she explained. “I focused on the five elements, so every track is meant to move something in your body, to make you feel connected.”

In her conversation with Apple Music, Chiquis described Flores en mi Alma as “medicine — music to heal.” The album’s title, which means Flowers in My Soul, symbolizes rebirth and spiritual awakening. “It’s about roots that grow and bloom from within,” she said. “This album came from my poems, from my heart, and from wanting to share love and light with my people.”

Her single “Pa’ Mi Gente” captures that spirit perfectly: a vibrant anthem dedicated to hardworking communities and everyday resilience. Inspired by a visit to Oxnard, California, where she delivered food and shared resources with field workers, the song and its accompanying video are both joyful and empowering. “I wanted them to know I see them,” Chiquis said. “This song is for everyone who wakes up every day and refuses to give up.”

Chiquis also steps into new territory with her own label, YA Records, a move that represents both creative independence and trust in her instincts. “For the first time, I’m letting my heart lead completely,” she said. “It’s scary, but it’s real. And when you do things from the heart, they reach other hearts.”

To celebrate the release, she’ll host “Alma de Luz: A Ceremony of Sound and Storytelling” on November 8 in Los Angeles, an immersive live experience combining music, meditation, and conversation.

Beyond music, Chiquis is also bringing her charisma back to the screen. Her hit LatiNation series, Foodie On The Go, returns for a second season. The show, which became a fan favorite for blending culinary discovery with heartwarming stories of culture and resilience, is expanding its scope across the United States.

In Foodie On The Go 2, Chiquis continues to spotlight Hispanic-owned restaurants and local chefs whose flavors and stories define the richness of Latin cuisine. Viewers can expect more of the same infectious energy, laughter, and authenticity that made season one a success.

Flores en mi Alma arrives November 6, and Foodie On The Go 2 is coming soon to LatiNation. Whether through music or food, Chiquis is reminding us all to stay rooted, stay grateful, and keep blooming.
