Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez tied the knot this weekend in Venice, Italy, in a celebration that looked straight out of a Hollywood awards show. Even though the wedding was a global event, it also had Latino connections worth highlighting. Jeff Bezos was adopted by Miguel Bezos, a Cuban immigrant who raised him and whose surname he uses. On the other hand, Lauren Sánchez has roots in a Mexican-American family from Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The festivities kicked off with a lavish welcome party, followed by the wedding itself on Friday and a pajama-themed bash that stretched into the early hours of Sunday.
