Cardi B Lands Her First Leading Role

The hip-hop icon, Grammy-winning, rapper/singer Cardi B is adding another major hit to her list! This time, it’s as the leading lady in Paramount’s upcoming film, Assisted Living.
The movie follows Amber, played by Cardi B, a small-town crook who finds herself in over her head when a heist goes wrong. On the run from both the cops and her former crew, she struggles to find anyone to take her in. Running out of options, Amber disguises herself as an elderly woman and hides out in the one place no one will look — her estranged grandmother’s nursing home. I’m already sold! This film is described as a comedy in the same vein as ‘Mrs.Doubtfire,’ ‘Tootsie,’ and ‘Sister Act.’ We all know Cardi is HILARIOUS so this should be good!
Cardi made her big screen debut back in the 2019 film ‘Hustlers’, alongside Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu. The hype was big, but the role was small. I can speak for the Bardi Gang when I say, that was just a tease! It’s also reported by Variety that she has secured a role in F9, the next film in the Fast & Furious series. Cardi has come a long way from her ‘Love & Hip Hop’ days for sure!
Want more Cardi? You don’t have to look very far. The “WAP” rapper is everywhere right now!
