Bridgerton: Romantic Moments from the Duke of Hastings

Drooling over The Duke of Hastings on Bridgerton? We are too. Even if he is only on the series for just one season.

Regé-Jean Page’s is the talk of the town after the premiere of Bridgerton on Netflix, where he gives life to the Duke of Hastings. It is arguably the highlight of the British actor’s career to date, but this English hunk of Zimbabwean descent had been working in different productions for several years now.

Born in London in 1990, Page’s parents moved to Zimbabwe when he was just a baby, a country where he lived until he was 14 years old. Once back in the UK, he had his first professional experience as an actor participating in the short film ‘Troublemaker’ and in ‘Casualty,’ but he saw acitng as more as a hobby and felt a much greater passion for music.

Now, he’s managed to have every lady (and some gentlemen too) drooling over his romantic scenes with his co-star, Phoebe Dynevor

We’ve put together a list of the top —and hottest— scenes for you to enjoy. You’re welcome!

1) The Duke’s Swoon-Worthy Speech to the Queen: “I have never been a man that much enjoyed flirting, or chatting, or, indeed, talking at all. But with Daphne… Miss Bridgerton… conversation has always been easy. Her laughter brings me joy. To meet a beautiful woman is one thing… But to meet your best friend in the most beautiful of women  is something entirely apart.”

2) From the calming mornings, until the silent afternoons and the dreams in which you live … my thoughts about you have no end.”

3) “I have spent the last days in agony, unable to speak to you, unable to be alone with you because I thought you wanted nothing to do with me.”

4) “Look me in the eyes. If this is going to work it must seem as if we are deeply in love.”

5) If I was really courting you I wouldn’t need to send you flowers.”

6) I burn for you: “My thoughts of you never end. I’m yours, Daphne, I have always been.”

7) Romance under the rain: The new dukes began their new phase as husband and wife so excited that they had to get up from the dining room table and go out to vent in the garden. The rain did not stop them and brought an aura of sensuality to the moment. We’re leaving this scene for you to watch on episode six.

Netflix announced there will be a second season of the critically acclaimed show coming up very soon.
