Brandon Moreno is the New UFC Flyweight Champion

Brandon Carrillo Moreno II, the Mexican professional mixed martial artist who currently competes in the flyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), has brought the belt to Mexico in an epic bout.  Moreno was born and raised in Tijuana, Mexico, in a modest family, despite earlier intentions to attend law school, Moreno took the alternate path of prize-fighter and mixed martial artist.  This weekend, his life-long dream of a championship fight arrived.  In the fight of his life, the score card was clear and the decision was final…

Brandon Moreno II defeats Deiveson Figueiredo via Submission at 2:26 of Round 3.  This was the first UFC Championship won by a Mexican Native.  A huge step for the sport and the supportive latin culture behind it.
