Bad Bunny and Cheetos Latino Scholarship Fund joins forces with Adidas

Cheetos x Adidas

Yo, El Conejo Malo AKA  Bad Bunny just dropped details about the sickest Cheetos x Adidas collection and it’s sick! As a part of Bad Bunny and Cheetos collab “Deja tu Huella” which is an initiative to help our Latino gente here and in Puerto Rico with a Deja tu Huella fund of $500k. He’s been El Conejo Malo doing the good work since 2020, and now there’s a signature Adidas Bad Bunny meets Chester Cheetah jogger look that actually works pretty well.

In an interview with Hypebeast Bad Bunny said “We want to leave our footprint with all the good things we’ve been doing, unify the community with Cheetos and Adidas and to give strength to something positive.”

Like most of his iconic fashion drops including the showstopping Bad Bunny x Adidas sneakers, this launch is sure to sell out instantly, but there is a chance to get your hands on some of the pieces before the launch on August 6th with something called a Cheetl iD… no, not the thing that famous actor uses get free drinks, which is described on Hypebeast as “Essentially how it works is that the Cheetle iD technology will detect if fans have Cheetos dust on their fingers, and the first 100 to do so will receive first access to the clothes.” so, you know, take it for what it is.

Deja Tu Huella, Bad Bunny and Cheetos Scholarship

Along with the release of the track suit, and warm up attire 10 lucky students will get a $50k scholarship from Bad Bunny and Cheetos if they win the #DejaTuHuella contest. To enter the contest, participants in the US and Puerto Rico should upload a 60-second video to TikTok that shows how they’re leaving their mark (dejando tu huella) en el mundo. The hashtag #DejaTuHuella will also need to be included in any submission remarks between August 10 and 17.

The collection looks exactly like what it sounds like, it’s a track suit and jersey shirts, that looks like what you’d wear if you were chosen to play in the World Cup for Cheetos. The standout item is the shirt that is in Bad Bunny’s signature brown color. The fit has dots to match a Cheetah’s vibe, and while everything should point to a weird overly corporate look, it actually feels pretty unique and Bad Bunny’s signature taste definitely comes through.

Bad Bunny continues to prove that we just can’t get enough of his creative point of view. From his other sneaker collections that have sold out to his appearances on WWE and Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty show, it seems like everything he does pops off a little bigger than everything else and on top of it all, he’s a humble dude who gives back and is even quick to call out his peers like Don Omar on homophobia. His 2022 world tour “El Ultimo Tour Del Mundo” even sold out in just a couple of minutes.

Bad Bunny’s music is a unique blend of reggaeton, hip hop and trap. His songs are heavily influenced by artists like Daddy Yankee, Nicky Jam and Ricky Martin. The young artist balances a very masculine style of performance with upbeat and lively songs that are tailor-made for the summer. His lyrics call out other artists in his genre as well as general political statements that have received wide acceptance from fans and critics. His use of Spanish language in his music is growing in popularity, creating a distinct style that sets him apart from other artists.
