Listen to Bad Bunny’s New Collab Track with Gorillaz: “Tormenta”

This Friday Gorillaz released ‘Cracker Island’, their eighth studio album, 22 years after their debut album.
Since their 2017 comeback album ‘Humanz,’ the band led by Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett, has ventured into various sounds and techniques and for this new facet, Gorillaz opted for a fusion ranging from psychedelia, pop and even reggaeton, with Bad Bunny himself.
In the new album, the English band gives their fans 10 tracks that will undoubtedly make them leave the album on repeat, starring their peculiar cartoons in a loop.
In addition to the sound, Albarn’s bet for ‘Cracker Island’ was in the overabundance of renowned collaborators, where we see from Tame Impala, Stevie Nicks and more.
At the end of last year, they released ‘Skinny Ape,’ while the fifth single premiered on January 27, ‘Silent Running’ featuring Adeleye Omatoyo. However, one of the most anticipated collaborations was “Tormenta” with the Puerto Rican star.
Rumors began in 2021 that Gorillaz and Bad Bunny would collaborate together. Damon Albarn told the Wrap in an interview that he and the “Titi Me Preguntó” interpreter linked up while the two were in Jamaica.
“What I love about Gorillaz is that I can bring whoever I want, you know? I was in Jamaica recently and recorded a Gorillaz song with Bad Bunny, that’s something exciting for next year,” Albarn said.
Fan of both, El Conejo Malo and Gorillaz have mixed thoughts on the song: it’s the joy of some and the annoyance of other purist fans of the band. What does this song mean to you? An alchemy of success or total disaster —let us know!
