Bad Bunny is making headlines again and, this time, news don’t look very appealing. The Puerto Rican artist is getting backlash after “unacceptable” behavior with a fan who approached him with her cell phone to greet him. 

After having dinner at a resort in the Dominican Republic, the “Tití me preguntó” singer was making his way out of the restaurant when the fan came close to him to film a selfie video. Seems like she’ll never see this video first-hand, or her cell phone because he threw it away, apparently it fell into the sea.

Anger has been unleashed around the world as the video has become viral. On social networks, the angry reaction of the reggaetonero caused the repudiation of several users who asked not to “magnify” an artist with these attitudes.

In the video, El Conejo Malo appears walking down a street surrounded by his security agents and some fans. Among them, was a young woman.

However, not everything was as she expected, because when he stood next to her to take the photo, the singer first smiled, but in less than five seconds, he took her cell phone from her. The phone can also be seen going into the ocean.

“They do not respect the way,” he says to his security personnel.

At that moment, the voice of the fanatic is heard reproaching Benito’s violent act. She only managed to say: “wow, really?”

On the other hand, another of his followers supports him and says: “We love you no matter what, Benito.” 

Bad Bunny won’t go without a fight

Benito took his response to Twitter to say he considered what happened was a “lack of respect” for the young woman.

“The person who comes up to me to say hello, to tell me something, or just to meet me, will always receive my attention and respect. Those who come to put a phone ** in my face I will consider it for what it is, a lack of respect and I will treat them the same way,” he wrote.

This response generated divided reactions among his followers and has stirred the controversy.
