Bad Bunny Drops Puerto Rico-Inspired Adidas Gazelles During His Residency

Bad Bunny isn’t just breaking records with his 30-concert residency at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico; he’s also stepping back into the sneaker culture with a new collaboration with Adidas that’s already getting a lot of buzz. As part of his show series “No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí,” the Puerto Rican artist announced the release of the adidas Originals x Bad Bunny “Gazelle City Series” collection, a visual and emotional homage to the island where he was born.

This new Gazelle series, officially launched on July 11, adds to a lineup of successful collaborations between Bad Bunny and the German brand, like the Forum Buckle Low, the Response CL, and the latest Ballerina x Bad Bunny, an unexpected fusion of ballet shoes and taekwondo silhouettes. However, with the City Series, Bad Bunny takes it a step further by directly connecting his sneakers to his Puerto Rican identity.

The collection includes three colorways inspired by iconic (though not always touristy) spots in Puerto Rico, each representing the island’s natural and cultural diversity.

El Yunque is the first stop. The sneakers in deep green tones evoke the wild and mystical spirit of the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. national forest system. Nature, waterfalls, and that damp jungle magic are translated into leather and suede.

Santurce, the hub of art and urban culture, is represented by a vibrant orange. This model captures the energy, passion, and street life of the most lively neighborhood in San Juan.

Cabo Rojo, the third version, arrives in a vibrant pink. Inspired by the municipality’s pink salt flats and the resilience after hurricanes like Maria, this Gazelle becomes an ode to the island’s beauty and strength. The visual campaign, featuring Puerto Rican elders, connects with the spirit of Bad Bunny’s residency: roots, memory, and belonging.

This special edition is a cultural manifesto. Benito is telling stories through his music, his concerts, and now through his sneakers as well. Each model in the Gazelle City Series is an emotional postcard that pays tribute to Puerto Rico through fashion.

The launch coincides with the start of a historic residency in his homeland, making this drop one of the most significant of the summer. Priced at approximately €140, the Bad Bunny Gazelle City Series is set to be one of the most coveted releases among both sneaker collectors and fans of Bad Bunny.

Music, fashion, and boricua pride. All in a sneaker box.
