Ana de Armas Tops Time Magazine’s ‘100 Next’

Ben Affleck, eat your heart out.
Time Magazine recently released its prestigious “100 Next” list, a list of 100 people that the magazine believes are the top emerging leaders that will shape the world’s future. Cuban actress Ana de Armas made the list. Actress Jamie Lee Curtis who costarred with her in Knives Out wrote for the magazine about her first experience meeting and working with the actress. It is a testament to the stunning De Armas, slated to star as Marilyn Monroe in the upcoming biopic Blonde, and how she is not only growing into the biggest Latina starlet in Hollywood, she is quickly becoming one of Hollywood’s biggest stars period.
Ana de Armas then posted a response about being named to the exclusive Time Magazine list, which included additional thanks to her friend and co-star.
She wrote:
“#TIME100NEXT thank you @time for this. You’ve given me one of the proudest moments of my career so far. What an inspiring way to be put on the spotlight, what a place to be mentioned. There’s not a better list to be a part of than this one. I think today of all the people that’s helped me to get here, doing nothing more than genuinely supporting me and believing in me. Thank you all. And I think of my father, who took me to the airport when I was 18 years old and told me to get on that plane and go after my dreams, while his heart was breaking as he saw me leaving. Gracias papá, I’ll keep going. And of course, thank you my dear @curtisleejamie for your continuous friendship and generosity. I look up to you!”
