A standout highlight of this year’s World Pride is Spain’s prominent participation. Spain, which legalized same-sex marriage on July 3, 2005, has long been a trailblazer in LGBTQ+ rights, showcasing its commitment to equality and inclusivity. With a rich history of advocacy, Spain is using this platform to educate the world on how it honors and respects these rights through its laws and initiatives.

With an eye on the future, Spain is also bidding to host World Pride in the coming years, further solidifying its leadership in the global LGBTQ+ movement.
