5 Minute Ab Challenge – Latinas Más Fuertes

As May quickly fades to June, it’s official – Summer is upon us. And after 2 years of lockdowns and COVID restrictions limiting our summer activities, we are all eager to return to the great outdoors, soak up the sun, and have some fun. But first – let’s make sure your body is prepared with this quick yet challenging 5 minute ab workout.

I know, I know. We all have a love-hate relationship with exercise, but I guarantee that you will feel an overwhelming sense of inner-satisfaction after giving this routine a try. This routine can be done anywhere, without equipment, and is great for building core strength – not to mention the many mental health benefits that result from exercise. Plus, the beautiful background of Zakynthos, Greece helps to ease the burden on the eyes – and mind. 

Workout Routine

  1. Crunches with Hands Over Head 
    • 10 reps
  2. Alternating Toe Touches
    • 10 reps each side
  3. Overhead Crunches with a Toe Touch
    • 10 reps each side
  4. Russian Twists
    • 8 reps each side
  5. Crab Walks
    • 10 reps each side
  6. Floating Crunch
    • 15 reps
  7. Kneeling Toe Touches 
    • 10 reps each side
  8. Shoulder touches while planking 
    • 8 reps each side
  9. Downward dog plank thrusts 
    • 10 reps
