2025 Golden Globes: Emilia Perez Wins Big!

The 2025 Golden Globes kicked off awards season with an electrifying night celebrating the best in film and television. Hosted by the ever-charismatic Nikki Glaser who was nominated herself, the ceremony delivered unforgettable moments, dazzling fashion, and triumphant wins.

One of the night’s most buzzed-about triumphs came from Zoe Saldaña,  who took home best supporting actress in a musical or comedy. The Afro-Latina actress delivered a heartfelt acceptance speech, “I’m filled with adrenaline, but my heart is full of gratitude,” she said as she cried. Also thanking her family friends and the cast and crew of Emilia Perez.  Emila Perez overall was the big winner of the night winning the most awards of any film, with a total of 4 wins.

Saldaña, who has long been celebrated for her roles in blockbuster franchises, was honored for her role, an award that fans believe was long overdue.

In the spirit of long overdue awards, Demi Moore was another big winner of the night taking home the best actress award for her role in The Substance, an edgy, fun and out of this world type of film. The actress who is now 62 took home her first ever major award, in a career that spans over 40 years. Giving an emotional speech she gave a quote that many on social media felt was extremely heartfelt and real saying “I had a woman say to me, ‘Just know you will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.'”

Other memorable moments from the evening was when Wicked won the award for best cinematic achievement in the box office, with stars Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum and Director Jon Chu all on stage to accept the award. Other winners of the night include:
