2022 Día de Los Muertos Barbie is Stunning 

The team behind Barbie at Mattel has outdone themselves again, updating their Día De Los Muertos Barbie with a unique doll created by celebrated fashion designer Benito Santos. Mattel has released a total of three beautiful Catarina-style Barbies updating the Día De Los Muertos Barbie collection which started in 2020. To celebrate Dia de Los Muertos 2022, the most popular Barbie doll is the one designed by Benito Santos of Guadalajara called BENITO SANTOS X BARBIE DOLL has a price tag of $100 while the other dolls range between $80 and $100. 

Unfortunately for fans though, the dolls have already sold out! The popularity of the dolls has made them a huge hit for Mattel who had their Barbie Signature designer Javier Meabe offer up this statement on the official site: 

“I’m excited that we get to expand the world of Día De Muertos in the Barbie portfolio. We also get to see it come to life through the vision of Benito Santos, who also loves and celebrates the holiday,”- Javier Meabe

This is just one of a few strides Mattel has taken in helping to celebrate Latino culture having just recently released a Gloria Estefan Barbie doll on September 1st… which no surprise is also sold out!
