10 Quotes From Latino Celebrities to Inspire You this Hispanic Heritage Month

National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated annually in the United States from September 15th to October 15th. During this month-long celebration, Americans honor the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
September 15th is especially significant because it is the anniversary of the independence of 5 Latin American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Mexico and Chile also celebrate their independence days, on September 16th and September 18th, respectively. And lastly, October 12th is the date colonizer Christopher Columbus arrived in the Americas for the first time.
The celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month provides an opportunity to recognize the many contributions Latinos have made to American society. From music and art to science and politics, the lasting imprint Latinos have made on American culture and history can not be underestimated. Thus, this month-long celebration is a time to honor these contributions and celebrate the diversity and richness of Latino culture.
To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, many communities across the United States organize festivals, dances, concerts, parades, and other events that showcase the diversity of Latino culture and provide an opportunity for people of all backgrounds to come together and celebrate.
To celebrate HHM, we put together some of the most inspiring quotes from Latino celebrities.
